CORTLAND, N.Y. - The 2018 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) spring championship brackets are set after the completion of regular-season play Saturday across the conference.
The top two seeds, Cortland and Geneseo (6-2) earned a bye into the semifinals on Friday, May 4. Top seeded Cortland finished the regular-season undefeated, 8-0, and will host the semifinals and final on Friday and Saturday. The first round games on Tuesday, May 1 will see No. 3 Brockport (6-2) hosting No. 6 Buffalo State (3-5) while No. 4 Oneonta (5-3) will host No. 5 Oswego (5-3), both games will be at 4 p.m. Full Bracket
Cortland (5-1) and Plattsburgh (5-1) will host semifinals games Wednesday as the top two seeds. The Red Dragons will face No. 4 Oswego (3-3) while the Cardinals will take on No 3 Brockport (3-3), both games will start at 4 p.m. The championship game is set for Saturday, May 5 at 1 p.m. on the campus of the highest remaining seed. Geneseo (13-3) will host the six-team double elimination softball championship tournament starting Thursday, May 3. The first day will see four games with one team eliminated at the end of the day. Game 1 will be between Geneseo and No. 6 Buffalo State (9-9) at 9 a.m. followed by second seeded Cortland (12-5) and No. 5 Plattsburgh (10-8) at 11 a.m. No. 3 Oneonta (11-7) will face No. 4 Oswego (11-7) at 1 p.m. followed by the first elimination game at 3 p.m. Full Schedule
Top seeded Cortland, 15-2, will host the 2018 SUNYAC baseball championship May 3-5. The four team double-elimination tournament will start at noon on Thursday with Cortland taking on No. 4 Brockport (9-9) followed by second seeded Oswego (12-5) vs. No. 3 New Paltz (9-8) at 3:30 p.m. Full Bracket
