Quinlan and Petersen tabbed PrestoSports Field Hockey Athletes of the Week

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New  York Athletic Conference has selected Cortland's Molly Quinlan (Fayetteville, N.Y.) and Brockport's Megan Petersen (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) as this week's PrestoSports Field Hockey Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Quinlan scored twice to help lead the Red Dragons (4-1) to a pair of non-conference road wins last week. In a 4-3 overtime victory at 14th-ranked Rochester on Tuesday, Quinlan tallied Cortland's second goal 37 seconds into the fourth quarter. She then registered the game-winning goal 1:20 into overtime as Cortland defeated Misericordia, 1-0, on Saturday evening. For the season, Quinlan leads the Red Dragons in goals (3) and points (7).

Petersen had a solid week for the Golden Eagles, notching 14 saves in the teams three games this past week. She currently holds a perfect 3-0 record, having saved 15 shots in 38 total shots faced and was key in the teams overtime 4-3 win over Nazareth College on Wednesday.
