CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected its Men's Lacrosse Athlete and Goalie of the Week. The winners were selected from nominations across the conference.
Josh Huiatt from Potsdam is this week's Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week. Huiatt put up 11 points in a 1-1 week for the Bears. He had three goals and an assist against Plattsburgh on Wednesday night. He then had a career-high seven points on three goals and four assists in a 12-11 win against Oneonta on Saturday.
Dallas Meyers from Brockport is this week's Men's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week. Meyers had a dominate week in net for the Golden Eagles leading them to a 1-1 record. Over two games, he racked up 35 saves, with a 76.1 save percentage, and a 5.50 GAA. He recorded 17 saves in the 3-2 lost against Geneseo, with a 85.0 save percentage. The native of Elma, N.Y. had his best game in the upset 10-8 victory over No. 16 Cortland, where he finished with 18 saves and a 69.2 save percentage.
