CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected the winners for this week's top swimmer and diver. The athletes were nominated by the institutions for outstanding efforts in recent competition.
Samuel Randall has been awarded Diver of the Week. The senior from Geneseo turned in an outstanding performance for the Knights, picking up two key wins in a dual meet against Cortland. The Pittsford native won the 1 meter competition with a score of 316.45 and took the 3 meter with a total of 304.75 points.
Potsdam's Ryan Hagadorn has been named the Swimmer of the Week. The freshman helped lead the Bears over conference rivel Brockport, 163-125, this Saturday. The Syracuse native was able to pick up wins in the 100 meter breaststroke (1:00.41) and the 200 meter breaststroke (2:17.25). He also contributed an effort to the first-place 400 medley relay team that finished with a total time of (3:46.93).
