CORTLAND, N.Y.- The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected the top swimmer and diver from this week's competition. The winners were selected from nominations made by schools throughout the conference.
New Paltz's Jaimie Kaefer has been awarded Swimmer of the Week. The junior picked up three individual wins in the 200-yard backstroke (2:07.84), 400-yard medley (4:35.84), and 200-yard medley (2:08.91) to guide the Hawks to a second-place finish at the TCNJ Invite. Kaefer was also part of a 400-yard freestyle relay that emerged victorious.
Brockport's Meghann Kilgallon was chosen as Diver of the Week. The senior swept the one-meter and three-meter competitions at the Fredonia Invitational. In the one-meter, the Binghamton native scored 443.30, while tallying 471.50 in the three-meter. Both of these scores qualified her for nationals.
