Buffalo State Football and Women's Soccer Players Partner with CEURE
Members of Buffalo State's football and women's soccer teams have partnered with the Center for Excellence in Urban and Rural Education (CEURE) to assist with the "I am College Bound" program over the course of the spring semester.
On select dates in March, Buffalo State student-athletes took time out of their schedules to meet with third and fourth graders from Buffalo Public Schools Martin Luther King School #39 and International School #45. The athletes assisted with providing guided tours of the Science and Technology Buildings and then ate lunch with the children, discussing the importance of college and what it is like to be a college student and a student-athlete. More than 300 children participated in the four sessions.
The program will continue on April 11 with another group of seventh and eighth grade students.
