Falvo and Russ Tabbed SUNYAC Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has chosen Geneseo's Alexis Falvo and Brockport's Kyra Russ as this week's Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week respectively.
Falvo set the tone for the Knights as they competed against some of the best teams in the nation at the Total Performance Invitational hosted by Kenyon College. Falvo set a Geneseo and SUNYAC record in the 100 fly, touching in 55.40 to take third place and make an NCAA B-Cut time. She was also a part of the Knights' 200 freestyle relay that finished in 1:36.45 to take sixth, the Knights' fourth-place 200 medley relay (1:45.47) and placed ninth overall in the 50 free with a 23.75.
Russ won both diving events to score 64 points for Brockport, as the women's team placed second at the Oberlin College Mid-Season Invitational. Russ took first place on the 1-meter diving board with her score of 346.35. She earned a score of 382.60 for the top spot in the 3-meter diving competition.
