Cortland Wins 2024 SUNYAC Women's Cross Country Championship
Melissa Innocent leads Red Dragons with first place finish
OSWEGO, N.Y. - Cortland won the 2024 SUNYAC women's cross country championship, Saturday at the Fallbrook Recreation Center in Oswego. This is the Red Dragons first win since 2010 and their 17th overall women's cross country title in program history. Oneonta finished second and New Paltz was third. Cortland sophomore Melissa Innocent won the 6k race finishing the course in 23:43.3. Oneonta's Sabrinna Mena was second and Oswego's Faith Coyle was third.

Finishing in the Top 5 during one championship
Finishing in the Top 10 during two championships

Elite 20
The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. This year the SUNYAC women's cross country Elite 20 award winner is Fredonia's Holly Rohrbach, an early and childhood education major with a 4.0 GPA.
