Cortland Wins 2025 SUNYAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship
BROCKPORT, N.Y. - Cortland won the 2025 SUNYAC women's indoor track and field championship with 243.5 points, Saturday at Brockport's SERC Field House. This is the Red Dragons first SUNYAC title since 2014 and 19th overall. Oneonta finished second while SUNY Delhi was third.
Individual Awards:
The Women's Most Valuable Performer of the meet with the most overall points (30) is Natalia Sawyer from Buffalo State.
The Women's Rookie of the Meet with the most points among first-year athletes (24.5) is Jaiden Schrag from Oneonta.
All-Conference
The All-Conference first, second and third teams consist of the top three finishers in each event.
Elite 20
The SUNYAC Elite 20, is an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, which recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. This year for women's indoor track and field there is a tie with Cortland's Colleen Patrie and Plattsburgh's Grace Estus both holding a 4.0 overall GPA. Patrie is a junior majoring in inclusive childhood education while Estusis is a sophomore English major.
