SUNYAC Announces Athletes of the Week
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY - Cortland
Alyson Dalton, junior
Junior Alyson Dalton (Sherrill, NY/V-V-S) earned her second consecutive SUNYAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor for the week ending October 3. Dalton placed fifth out of 387 runners in the Brown Division of the Lehigh University Paul Short Run, finishing behind runners from Millersville, Canisius, University of Tampa and Rowan. She clocked in at 22:00 over the 6K course and helped Cortland finish fifth out of 41 schools, including 17 Division I and nine Division II institutions.
MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY - Plattsburgh
Mike Heymann, senior
Senior Mike Heymann (Tully, NY/Tully) placed 19th in a 387-person Gold Division Run at the 37th Annual Brooks-Paul Short Invitational, besting a number of NCAA Division I runners, to earn SUNYAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors. Heymann was the top Division III runner with a time of 24:20. Eight seconds separated finishers 12-19 including athletes from Cornell, Dartmouth, Georgetown and the University of Maryland.
FIELD HOCKEY - Geneseo
Michelle Milkovich, senior forward
Michelle Milkovich (Vestal, NY/Vestal) scored three goals in two games to lead Geneseo to two conference wins and earn her second SUNYAC Field Hockey Player of the Week honor this season. The senior scored in overtime to give Geneseo a 2-1 win over previously unbeaten and nationally seventh-ranked Cortland on Friday. It was the first win over for the Knights over the Red Dragons in 11 tries all-time and snapped Cortland's 32-game SUNYAC, 26-game regular season and 24-game home win streaks. Milkovich netted both goals in a 2-0 win over Oswego on Saturday extending Geneseo's win streak to seven. She previously earned the conference player of the week on September 20.

Max Siegelman, senior goalkeeper
Senior Max Siegelman (Roslyn Heights, NY/Roslyn) was named the SUNYAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week after posting a pair of road game shutouts against SUNYAC foes Geneseo and nationally ranked Brockport. He made nine saves over the weekend including six saves against Brockport, handing the Golden Eagles their first loss of the season. Oneonta is riding a four game winning streak and Siegelman currently has a 0.52 goals against.

The Hawks defeated Manhattanville 3-0 in a non-conference game on Wednesday before beating Brockport for the first time since 2005 on Friday, prevailing by a count of 1-0 when Kondelka struck in the fifth minute. On Saturday, Kondelka scored twice in the 3-1 victory over Geneseo for the programs second-ever win over the Blue Knights. She put New Paltz on the board in the 32nd minute and completed the scoring in the 89th minute when she scored 21 seconds after Geneseo cut the lead to 2-1 for her sixth goal of the season.

Oneonta sophomore Kacy Boburka (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) has been named the SUNYAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending October 3 after leading the Red Dragons to a 4-1 weekend at Oneonta's Red Dragon Invitational where she was an All-Tournament Team selection. It was the first time all season that Oneonta has posted an above .500 record on the week and only the second time they have had back-to-back wins. The Red Dragons advanced to the championship match with wins over SUNYIT, RIT, Keene State and Hartwick before falling to Elmira. Boburka registered double-figure kills in four of the five matches including a high of 15 kills and five blocks against Keene State to snap the Owls' seven match win streak. She totaled 13 kills against RIT to hand the Tigers only their sixth loss of the season. The outside hitter had a solid week with 53 kills, 13 digs and 11 blocks.
