Harvey and Santic Earn SUNYAC Baseball Weekly Awards
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has selected New Paltz's Justin Harvey and Plattsburgh's Chris Santic as this week's Baseball Athlete and Pitcher of the Week.
Harvey had the go-ahead RBI base hit for the Hawks in their comeback win in game two against Centenary Friday, helping his team come back from six runs down to win, 7-6. It capped a standout afternoon where he went 3-for-4 in game one and 4-for-4 in game two to hit .875 on the day with two RBI and a stolen base.
Santic was excellent out of the pen this past weekend for Plattsburgh State, as the junior left-hander threw five scoreless frames out of the pen against Souther Virginia. The southpaw allowed just two hits and struck out five batters as he dominated the Knights order in his second appearance of the season.
