Oswego Sweeps SUNYAC Baseball Weekly Honors
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Oswego teammates Owen Parlement and Kieran Finnegan have been named the SUNYAC Baseball Athlete and Pitcher of the Week respectively.
Parliment had a huge week as he went .500 from the plate with eight hits in 16 at bats. The Lafargeville, NY native scored nine runs, had four doubles, two homeruns and 12 RBI's in five games against New Paltz and Fredonia this week. In Oswego's second game against New Paltz in their three game series, Parliment had EIGHT of the Lakers 12 RBI's with two homeruns and went 4-for-4 at the plate. Parliment finished the week with an on base percentage of .640 and a slugging percentage of 1.125. #28 currently sits atop the SUNYAC with fellow teammate Jelani Hamer with four homeruns and leads the Lakers with eight doubles, 20 RBI's, 15 walks, and slugging percentage on the year (.689).
This week, Ace, Finnegan appeared and started in one game against the Hawks of New Paltz. The West Nyack, NY native in five innings pitched had seven strikeouts, allowed only one hit and didn't allow any runs. He had a strikeout per nine innings ratio of 12.60.
