Cortland’s Jeffes and Brunache Named SUNYAC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Cortland teammates Josh Jeffes and Isaiah Brunache have been named the SUNYAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week respectively after standout performances at the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational.
Jeffes earns his fourth-straight SUNYAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week this season after he anchored Cortland's 4x200-meter relay team that set both a school record and a facility record with a winning time of 1:27.37. Jeffes also dominated the 200-meter dash, finishing first out of 86 competitors with a time of 21.87 seconds, which currently ranks seventh nationally in Division III.
Brunache wins his third SUNYAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week by continuing his impressive season and improving his school record in the shot put for the second straight week. His winning throw of 17.57 meters (57' 7.75") at the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational now ranks him second nationally in Division III this season.
