Morano Earns Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week Recognition
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Cortland's Emily Morano has been named the SUNYAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 4.
Morano averaged 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game in a 3-0 week for the Red Dragons. She shot 58 percent from the field overall, including 47 percent (8-for-17) from 3-point range. She scored a career-high 26 points on 11-of-15 shooting in an 82-61 home win over Geneseo Tuesday and tallied 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds in just 19 minutes in a 102-45 victory at Fredonia Friday. She finished the week with eight points, four steals and three assists in a 71-41 win at Brockport Saturday.
