Ensminger and Watson Win SUNYAC Men's Wrestler of the Week Honors
CORTLAND, N.Y. - Cortland's David Ensminger and RIT's Max Watson are this week's SUNYAC Men's Wrestler of the Week and Men's Wrestling Rookie of the Week respectively.
Ensminger finished first with a 4-0 record at 149 pounds at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Invitational. He pinned his first three opponents and won by a 17-4 major decision over RIT's Peter Graham in the finals.
Watson won the 157 lb. Division at the Cardinal Invitational, Sunday. Watson defeated Nassem Smith (Cortland) 18-2 in his opening match. He pinned Brockport's Sam Zeigler in the quarterfinals and defeated sophomore Carter Tadusz 22-6 in the semifinals. Watson was a 7-1 winner over Akio Sanders (Ithaca) in the championship match.
