Morrisville's Lilleby named NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville freshman Iyla Lilleby (Medina, N.Y.) has been named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Offensive Player of the Week as announced Sept. 25.
The NFHCA Player of the Week, sponsored by Victory Sports Tours, recognizes the top performances across the week's action.
Lilleby was named the SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, following her performance on the field that led to a 2-0 week for the Mustangs.
Across two games the freshman netted seven goals and assisted two others for a total 16 points, while posting a single game record five against Southern Virginia University midweek. In that same contest, she added an assist for 11 total points.
Lilleby followed with two more goals and an assist against Manhattanville, posting the game winner in the overtime period with one second remaining in extra time.
Taylor Swann, goalkeeper, from no. 16 Shenandoah University, was named the NFHCA Defensive Player of the Week for Division III.
