Morrisville State men's hockey to host Wounded Warrior Project benefit game Friday, February 13
MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State men's hockey program has joined efforts with two additional Mustang athletic teams in a Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) community service campaign for 2014-15, hosting a benefit game Friday, February 13 as they take the ice against Potsdam at 7 p.m. in their final weekend of home competition.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a veteran's service organization that offers a variety of programs, service and events for wounded veterans of the military actions following the events of Sept. 11, 2001. WWP's vision is to "foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history" as it works to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service members, help severely injured service members aid and assist each other and provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.

All proceeds from the contest obtained through gate admission, general donations, 50/50 raffles, prize raffles, and a commemorative jersey auction will be donated directly to the WWP.

Those wishing to place a bid on a commemorative jersey may do so by contacting Assistant Coach Spencer Noyes at 315-684-6488, or through email at noyessl@morrisville.edu.
