Oswego Brings Home its First SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Championship Trophy
OSWEGO, N.Y. - Oswego defeated Cortland, 12-8, to win its first-ever SUNYAC women's lacrosse championship crown, Saturday at Oswego's Laker Turf Stadium. With the win the the Lakers earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III women's lacrosse tournament.
Mackenzie Winn was named the 2025 SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse MVP after totaling five goals, five assits, three caused turnovers and two ground balls in the two tournament games to help Oswego win the conference title.
Elite 20
The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.
This year's Women's Lacrosse Elite 20 winner is Cortland's Chelsey Weber. She is a junior Biology major with a 3.95 overall GPA.
