CORTLAND, N.Y. - Cortland beat Plattsburgh, 3-2, to win its 11th overall SUNYAC women's soccer championship, Saturday at Cortland's T. Fred Holloway Field. With the win the Red Dragons earned an automatic berth into the NCAA DIII tournament.
Gianna Cirilla was named the SUNYAC Women's Soccer Tournament MVP after scoring two goals and adding an assist in the championship game.

The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.
Cortland's Katie Diem was honored with the 2025 SUNYAC Women's Soccer Elite 20 Award. Diem is a senior Biology major maintaining a 4.00 overall GPA.
