Kunz Voted SUNYAC Women's Tennis Scholar Athlete of the Year
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - New Paltz's Olivia Kunz is the 2025-26 SUNYAC Women's Tennis Scholar Athlete of the Year as nominated and voted on by the conference sports information directors.
Kunz was named to the SUNYAC first team doubles and was selected to the All-Tournament doubles team after helping the Hawks win their fourth-straight SUNYAC title. Kunz was undefeated in doubles competition throughout the fall 2025 season.
Kunz is a junior psychology major with a 3.92 overall GPA. She is a two-time SUNYAC Commissioner's List recipient and has been honored on the Hawks Academic Honor Roll four times.
In order to be eligible for the SUNYAC Scholar Athlete of the Year award student-athletes must prove both academic and athletic excellence by obtaining a minimum 3.30 overall GPA, be a starter or significant reserve for their team, and be at least a sophomore. The SUNYAC Scholar Athlete Award began in 2016-17.
