Johnson, Balaski Earn SUNYAC Weekly Honors With Record Performances
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Delhi's Shaesha Johnson has been named the SUNYAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Penn State Behrend's Julia Balaski claimed the conference's Field Athlete of the Week for their record-setting performances.
The honors were announced by the SUNYAC on Monday, March 31.

Johnson took first place in the women's 200 meters at the Ramapo Invite on March 28-29, recording a time of 24.52 and setting a new Bronco program record while holding the fastest time in NCAA III so far this season. Johnson's 4×100-meter relay team captured the event as well by shattering the school mark with a time of 47.05.
Balaski surpassed her own school record in the javelin throw at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational also on March 28-29. She tossed the javelin 142 feet, 2 inches on her fifth attempt for second place, shattering her previous program mark of 130-9 set set last season. This throw places Balaski first in the Division III rankings and qualifies her for regionals in the javelin throw.
