Cortland's Pittman and McMasters Earn SUNYAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Honors
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Cortland standouts Autumn Pittman and Hannah McMasters are being honored as the SUNYAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.
Pittman competed at the nationally competitive Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic, going up against a field packed with top Division I and III talent. She placed 12th out of 102 runners in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.84 seconds and also took 12th out of 92 in the 100-meter dash in 12.14 seconds. Both marks are All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) qualifiers and rank among the top performances in SUNYAC this season.
McMasters was dominant at the Utica Pioneer Spring Invitational, where she tied the Cortland school record in the hammer throw with a winning distance of 50.48 meters. Her throw also set a facility record at Utica and currently ranks 23rd nationally in NCAA Division III. In addition to the hammer, McMasters claimed first in the shot put with a throw of 11.95 meters and placed sixth in the discus at 31.42 meters.
