Pittman and Douglass Capture SUNYAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Honors
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – SUNYAC recognizes Cortland's Autumn Pittman and Oneonta's Sage Douglass as the Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week following standout performances over the weekend.
Pittman delivered a dominant performance at the Paul Kaiser Classic. The senior earned first place in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash events. She clocked 11.96 seconds to win the 100 meters out of 48 competitors and followed with a 25.23-second finish to claim the 200 meters out of 59 competitors. Both performances met AARTFC qualifying standards and continue to solidify Pittman as one of the top sprinters in Division III.
Douglass had a great showing in the field events for Oneonta at the RPI Capital District Classic. The senior won the javelin with a season-best throw of 36.49 meters. She also contributed on the track, helping the 4x400 meter relay team to a second-place finish with a time of 4:15.22.
