SUNYAC Athletes Earn ECAC Cross Country Weekly Accolades
Sophomore Rachel Malone (Fairport, NY) and senior Tom Clark (Wantagh, NY) have been selected as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women’s and Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Malone has been named the ECAC Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this season. She shattered the Brockport school record for a 6K run (a record she has already broke twice this year) as she shaved 42 seconds off the mark finishing third at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble with a time of 21:19.5. Malone was also named the SUNYAC Cross Country Female Runner of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Clark finished fifth in a time of 24:15 to aid nationally fifth-ranked Geneseo to the team title over 32 teams at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday.
