Huppee and Moller Named SUNYAC Women's Volleyball Athletes of the Week
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC recognizes Emily Huppee from Morrisville and Anna Moller from Oneonta as its first 2024 Women's Volleyball Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week respectively.
Huppee led Morrisville to a 2-1 weekend to open the season, compiling a three-match total 64 kills to go along with five aces, 35 digs and four blocks. The senior averaged 4.57 kills per set and 5.1 points per set across the weekend. Huppee began the season with a 17 kill performance in a 3-2 match win over Sage, where she also served up three aces and accounted for 21.5 points. She followed with 29 kills in the 3-2 match loss to Alfred, adding 11 digs and accounting for 31.5 points in the match. She wrapped up the weekend with 18 kills against St. Lawrence in a 3-1 match win, while collecting 19 digs.
Junior Moller started all three matches at libero in Oneonta's 2-1 weekend. She finished with 84 digs, four aces, and nine assists. She grabbed 21 digs in the 3-0 win over Mount Saint Mary, and then finished with a career-high 42 digs in the 3-2 victory over Utica, which is third most in a single match in program history. She wrapped up with 21 digs against Western New England.
