Two SUNYAC runners earn ECAC weekly honors
Two State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) cross country runners have been honored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) this week. Cassie Goodman (Phelps, N.Y./Midlakes) has been selected as the Female Runner of the Week and Adam Murphy (Amherst, N.Y./Amherst) was selected as the Male Co-Runner of the week.
Cassie Goodman the senior from Geneseo was the first Division-III finisher in the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational. In a field of 130 runners, predominantly Division-1 runners, she finished 17th with a time of 21:53.
Adam Murphy a sophomore from Geneseo also was the top Division-III finisher at the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational. With a field of 133 runners and 11 teams he finished 30th overall with a time of 26:48 in 5.2-miles.
