Cortland wins 2025 SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Championship Title
CORTLAND, N.Y. - Cortland defeated Oneonta, 19-9, to capture its 29th overall SUNYAC men's lacrosse championship title, Saturday at Cortland's Grady Field. With the win, the Red Dragons earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament.
Ryan Scanlon was named the 2025 SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse MVP after totaling seven goals, six ground balls, two caused turnovers and one assist in the two tournament games for Cortland.
Elite 20
The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.
The 2025 Men's Lacrosse Elite 20 honoree is Oneonta's Anthony Munro. He is a junior business administration major maintaining a 3.87 cumulative GPA.
