Abbott and Shaddock Earn ECAC Weekly Women's Lacrosse Honors
Buffalo state senior attack Karen Shaddock and Cortland senior midfielder Lindsay Abbott continue to earn accolades for the week ending April 22. The duo has been selected as the Women’s Lacrosse Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Div. III Mid-Atlantic Region Co- Offensive Player of the Week.
Abbott and Shaddock became two of just five players in NCAA Div. III women’s lacrosse history to reach the career 400-point mark. They reached the plateau on the same day – April 17 – during Cortland’s game versus Potsdam and Buffalo State’s game versus Geneseo.
Shaddock also set a new school record with 10 goals in a single game against Geneseo and tied the school mark with 12 points on Tuesday. She finished with nine points in 16-4 win versus Potsdam. Her 415 career points currently rank her third in NCAA DIII history.
