SUNYAC Athletes of the Week - December 15, 2025
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC reconizes three winter student-athletes from three different member institutions for their performances during the week of December 8-14.
Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week - Giavanna White-Principio, Oswego
The Lakers earned a dominant win over SUNY Poly and Giavanna earned her 6th double-double of the season. She Scored 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds while leading the Lakers. So far this season White-Principio is fourth in the SUNYAC in scoring (16.5ppg), and first in rebounding with 13.8 rebounds per game.
Men's Ice Hockey Athlete of the Week - Arvega Hovsepyan, Hobart
Hovsepyan led Hobart with three points in the Statesmen's victory over Manhattanville on Saturday. The Los Angeles, California native recorded his first collegiate hat trick in the victory. Hovsepyan scored twice in the second period and once in third period. He leads the team with 10 assists and 16 points.
Men's Wrestler of the Week - Aydin DeForest, Oneonta
DeForest finished the week 1-0 with a first period fall in Oneonta's 31-16 dual victory over WPI. The 174-pound Red Dragon pinned Theo Sawyers in 2:54 to give Oneonta a 21-13 lead en route to their victory.
Men's Wrestling Rookie of the Week - Kingston Strouse, Oneonta
Strouse went 1-0 with a tech fall at 157 lbs to helped Oneonta win their opening dual against WPI. The freshman defeated Lucas Marchese in a 17-1 tech fall in 3:39 to give the Red Dragons a 15-10 lead over the Engineers as they went on to win 31-16.
