2026 SUNYAC Swimming & Diving Championships - Day 2
BUFFALO, N.Y. – The 2026 SUNYAC men's and women's swimming and diving championships finished day two of four, Thursday at the Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center at Erie Community College (ECC). The championship will continue Friday with prelims starting at 10 a.m. See the full schedule here.
Elite 20
The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.
The SUNYAC honored both Benjamin Dotts from Penn State Altoona and Owen Grubbs from Penn State Behrend for holding a 4.0 overall GPA. Dotts is a sophomore finance major while Grubbs is a senior majoring in mathematics and minoring in computer science.
Emma Fraundorfer from Penn State Altoona was named the 2026 SUNYAC Women's Swimming and Diving Elite 20 winner. Fraundorfer is a sophomore maintaining a 4.0 overall GPA as an undecided major.
The SUNYAC recognized the Fredonia men's swimming and diving team and the Potsdam women's swimming and diving team for having the highest team GPA at the championship. Fredonia men hold a 3.36 overall team GPA while Potsdam women maintain a 3.64 cumulative GPA. There were also over 160 student-athletes recognized for holding a 3.20 GPA or higher.
