ECAC Recognizes SUNYAC Athletes of the Week
Three State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Athletes of the Week have been selected as this week's Division III Upstate Players of the Week by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
Emily Cotey won Cortland's Jack Daniels Invitational in a field of 84 runners with a time of 14:43.4 over 4,000 meters. She was nearly seven seconds ahead of the runner-up and 22 seconds ahead of the third-place finisher. Cortland, ranked 34th nationally, won the team title at the invitational.

Junior goalkeeper Steven Domino helped the New Paltz men's soccer team earn its first win of the season on Wednesday in a 2-1 victory over Western Connecticut State University. Domino did not allow a Colonial goal on the afternoon, but caught a bad break when a failed clear attempt by a Hawk defender spun backwards and into the net behind him. He made five saves to help pick up the victory. Domino is now 1-2-1 on the year with a goals against average of 1.66.
Julia Sanger notched back-to-back shutouts as the Knights tied RIT and No. 21 St. Lawrence on the road this past week. Sanger has now registered three consecutive shutouts and hasn't allowed a goal in her last 352:55, dating back to Sept. 7. She is in the top three in the SUNYAC in three categories and has a .892 save % on the season.
