Cortland Voted No. 1 in 2025 SUNYAC Baseball Preseason Poll
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC announces its 2025 baseball preseason poll with Cortland voted No. 1 followed by Oswego and New Paltz. The poll is voted on by the league coaches.
Cortland finished the 2024 regular season No. 1 to host the SUNYAC championship double elimination tournament. The Red Dragons were defeated in the title game by No. 2 New Paltz, 15-11. Cortland earned an at-large bid and hosted the NCAA Regional championship series where they went 1-2 and ended their season 31-14-1 overall.
In 2024, Oswego was the third seed after SUNYAC regular season play and went 1-2 in the double elimination conference tournament. This season, the Lakers will compete to win their 16th overall league title and first since 2019.
New Paltz won the 2024 SUNYAC championship title as the No. 2 seed. The win marked the program's first-ever SUNYAC baseball crown. The Hawks advanced to the NCAA tournament and went 1-2 to finish their season 31-16 overall.
2025 regular season conference games will start March 21 and the SUNYAC baseball championship is set for May 8-10 at the top seed.
