Canton’s Paswaters and Townsley Earn SUNYAC Weekly Honors
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Canton's Isabella Paswaters and Alyssa Townsley have been recognized for their standout performances, leading the Roos to a crucial playoff-clinching weekend at Morrisville.
Paswaters earned Women's Ice Hockey Athlete of the Week after posting two goals and an assist. She assisted Canton's first goal in Friday's 3-1 win, then delivered in the clutch on Saturday, tying the game in the third period before scoring the overtime game-winner on the power play for a 3-2 victory.
Townsley swept Goaltender of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors after stopping 52 of 55 shots across the two wins. She made 34 saves in Friday's matchup and followed up with 18 more in Saturday's overtime thriller, finishing the weekend with a stellar .945 save percentage.
