SUNYAC Releases 2025 Women's Ice Hockey Individual Awards
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC announces its 2025 women's ice hockey individual awards that are nominated and voted on by the conference coaches. The honors include Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Goaltender of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coaching Staff of the Year.
The SUNYAC women's ice hockey final is set for Saturday, March 8 at 3 p.m. with No. 1 Oswego hosting No. 2 Plattsburgh.
Player of the Year - Mack Hull, Oswego
Hull led the league with 19 points and 11 assists in 18 conference games this season. She was ranked second with eight goals and one hat trick in SUNYAC regular season competition. Overall Hull has totaled 23 points on 11 goals (both ranked first in the conference) and 12 assists in 26 games so far this season. Hull's hat trick, and season high three goals, came against Morrisville on November 15. She also had a season high of three assists vs. Buffalo State on December 7. The Lakers took the top seed going into postseason play and advanced to the championship game. Oswego will compete for the SUNYAC title on Saturday taking on No. 2 Plattsburgh.
Defensive Player of the Year - Ainsley Delacourt, Cortland
Delacourt led the league with am on-ice rating of +15 over 18 conference games and added 10 assists. Overall she had 14 assists and an on-ice rating of +18 in 26 games. Ainsley had a season high of two blocks against Morrisville on February 4 and totaled 13 blocks across 26 games. The Red Dragons finished the regular season 12-4-2 in the conference to earn the No. 3 seed going into postseason play. The team ended the 2024-25 season in the SUNYAC semifinals with an overall record of 17-5-4.
Goaltender of the Year - Lexi Levy, Oswego
Levy, a senior goaltender, led the league with a .964 save percentage (477 saves) and an .889 win percentage (15 wins) in 18 conference games for the Lakers. Overall she also leads the league with a .958 save percentage (645 saves) and an .880 win percentage (21 wins) so far this season. She had a season high 45 saves against Plattsburgh on November 16. Levy and her team will host the Plattsburgh Cardinals in the SUNYAC championship, Saturday at 3 p.m.
Rookie of the Year - Elizabeth Cooley, Oswego
In her first season with the Lakers, Cooly totaled 11 points on four goals and seven assists and had an on-ice rating of +8 in 17 conference games. Overall she has 13 points and is +8 in 25 games so far this season. Cooley and her team will compete for the SUNYAC title when they host second-seeded Plattsburgh, Saturday, March 8 at 3 p.m.
Coaching Staff of the Year - Oswego
The Lakers' women's ice hockey head coach Mark Digby is assisted by Grace Schnorr. The team finished regular season conference competition 15-1-2 to take the No. 1 seed going into the SUNYAC postseason play. Oswego advanced to the final and will host No. 2 Plattsburgh on Saturday, March 8 at 3 p.m. The staff coached four All-Conference team selections and one SUNYAC All-Rookie team member. The Lakers currently hold a 22-2-2 overall record going into the conference's second-ever women's ice hockey championship game.
