Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton women's hockey team donated over $1,500 to the Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025 following a successful jersey auction and charity game at their home contest against SUNY Potsdam on January 25th, 2025.
The Roos ran a jersey auction for nearly a month where students, alums, parents, fans and the local community could bid on the SUNY Canton players' game-worn jerseys with all proceeds after the cost of the jerseys going directly to Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country. Throughout the game against Potsdam there were also activities, raffle prizes, and ways for people to contribute to this important cause. SUNY Canton women's hockey donated $1,555.00 to the Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country on Tuesday.
The cause is near and dear to the team's hearts, as assistant coach, JJ Clark, has a brother, Jack, who has cerebral palsy. Jack himself attended the game and did a ceremonial puck drop.
