Ingalls Honored by ECAC as Women's Lacrosse Co-Defensive Player of the Week
The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) came out with their Player of the Week awards for last week and Liz Ingalls of SUNY Cortland was awarded Women's Lacrosse Co-Defensive Player of the Week. Ingalls is a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) athlete who had a fantastic week and will hope to continue that trend in the goal throughout the season. Congratulations go out to Liz Ingalls and the Cortland Red dragons on a job well done.
Liz Ingalls – SUNY Cortland
Sophomore, Goalkeeper, Centerport, NY
Ingalls helped lead nationally second-ranked Cortland to a pair of wins last week to raise the team's record to 7-0 overall and 1-0 in the SUNYAC. In a 14-3 win at Nazareth on Tuesday, Ingalls turned aside seven shots and collected two ground balls in 53:05. In a 15-6 victory against #9 Geneseo on Friday at Monroe C.C., Ingalls made seven saves and recorded two ground balls in 53:33 as the Red Dragons rewarded head coach Kathy Taylor with her 100th career win. For the two games, Ingalls posted a 3.94 GAA and a .667 save percentage.
