Raucci and Ennis Take PrestoSports Women's Soccer Weekly Awards
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) PrestoSports Women's Soccer Weekly honors goes to Geneso's Liv Raucci and Plattsburgh's Julia Ennis.
Raucci was named the PrestoSports Offensive Athlete of the Week after she recorded both game-winning goals for the Knights this weekend. In a 1-0 win over Oneonta she netted the game winner off a rebound from the crossbar in the second half. Against New Paltz, she was able to pick up the loose ball from her shot on target and put it away in the first half en route to a 2-0 win.
For the second straight week and third time this season, junior goalkeeper Julia Ennis has been named the PrestoSports Defensive Athlete of the Week. She helped Plattsburgh to a pair of SUNYAC road victories on the week. Ennis began the week with five saves and an .833 save percentage in Plattsburgh State's 2-1 win at Oswego State on Friday, Sept. 24. She then concluded the week with a six-save shutout -- her second shutout of the season and the sixth of her career -- in a 1-0 win at SUNY Cortland on Saturday, Sept. 25. On the week, Ennis recorded a 2-0-0 record with 11 saves and a.917 save percentage in 180:00 minutes played.
