2014-2015 SUNYAC winter season update
CORTLAND, N.Y. – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) 2014-2015 winter season is well underway. A big congratulations to a number of athletes that have been awarded weekly honors by SUNYAC and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) so far this season.

Swimming and diving championships are quickly approaching. Nine schools will compete at Erie Community College Pool in Buffalo, NY for the SUNYAC title. The SUNYAC championships begin on Wednesday, February 18 and conclude Saturday, February 21.

Men's and women's basketball are halfway through their regular season conference play. In men's basketball, Oswego is currently first in the standings with an 8-2 record in the conference and 12-5 overall. For women's basketball, Geneseo leads the standings with a 9-1 record in the conference and 13-4 overall. The tournament begins with quarterfinals on Tuesday, February 24 and semifinals and finals on Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28 respectively. The tournament games will be hosted by the higher seed.

Ice hockey is further into its season with Plattsburgh currently leading the SUNYAC standings with a 10-2 conference record and an overall record of 14-5-1. Ice hockey begins their championship tournament on Wednesday, February 25. Semi-finals will be held Saturday, February 28 and finals on Saturday, March 7. The tournament games will be hosted by the higher seed.

Men's and women's indoor track and field championships will be held Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28. The meet will be held at Brockport in their Special Events Recreation Center.
