Buffalo State women and Oneonta men take 2015 SUNYAC indoor T&F titles
BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships at The College at Brockport's Special Events Recreation Center (SERC) came to a close on Saturday with the Oneonta men and Buffalo State women leaving as the 2015 team champions. This is the second time-ever the Oneonta men won the SUNYAC title and the fourth time the Buffalo State women won the indoor track and field championships.
The Oneonta men tallied 152 points during the championship. Brockport came in second with 107 points. Geneseo was in third with 82.
The Buffalo State women grabbed 115.50 points to top Brockport, who placed second with 102.50 points.
Jazmin Dunham took the women's 60 meter hurdles with a meet record 8.74 time, as she helped the Buffalo State women take the 2015 SUNYAC indoor championship.
Oneonta's Joe Carr won the men's 200 meter dash with a 22.22 mark, earning 10 points for the victorious Oneonta men.
Pat Weinert, Oneonta, took the men's weight throw with a 19.05m mark.
Fredonia's Zakk Hess set a facility record in the men 3000 meter run, with an 8:29.31 time.
Cortland's Joe Shinn set a conference and meet record in the men's 60 meter hurdles, with an 8.05 mark.
Geneseo's Aidan Fullerton took the men's heptathlon, which he led after day 1. The men's 60 meter hurdles, pole vault, and 1000 meter run portions were completed during today's session. Fullerton amassed 4761 points. Cortland's Connor Christopherson came in second with 4739 points.
Oswego's Alex Ladouceur, Geneseo's Phil Longo, Cortand's Nick Vachon, and Geneseo's Aidan Fullerton all posted a 1.98m in the men's high jump, tying the facility record set in 2014.
Cortland's Taylor Hudson broke the meet record with a 5.77m in the women's long jump.
The Brockport men took the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:22.43, narrowly edging second place Buffalo State (3:22.54). Oneonta (3:22.82) and Oswego (3:22.85) came in third and fourth.
The Oneonta women took the 4x400 meter relay with a 4:01.25 mark. Geneseo was second with a 4:01.99 time. Oswego came in third with a 4:03.52.
