Five SUNYAC Athletes Awarded Player of the Week Honors by ECAC
The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced their Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 20. This week the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has five athletes who have made the list in their respective sports. For men's lacrosse Scott Tota of SUNY Cortland was named Defensive Player of the Week for his outstanding play in the net. SUNYAC also has two athletes who were awarded Pitcher of the Week honors as SUNY Oneonta softball player Sabrina DeAngelis and SUNY New Paltz baseball athlete Andrew Grann were announced the winners. Two Cortland Red Dragon's made the list for Outdoor track and field as Glenn Forsythe won it for the men and Taylor Hudson for the women. Congratulations to all five athletes on a job well done.Â
Scott Tota – SUNY Cortland
Junior, Goalkeeper, Webster, NY
 Tota helped guide No. 7 Cortland (12-3, 5-0 SUNYAC) to a pair of wins last week as the Red Dragons clinched at least a share of the SUNYAC regular-season title and earned the top seed in the upcoming conference tournament. In a 12-9 win at Nazareth on Wednesday, Tota stopped 13 shots. He followed up with 10 saves, allowing four goals, through three quarters in a 21-8 victory at Brockport on Saturday. For the week, he recorded a 7.43 GAA and a .639 save percentage as he raised his record to 11-3 on the season.
Sabrina DeAngelis – SUNY Oneonta
Freshman, East Meadow, NY
 DeAngelis went 3-0 this past weekend including two complete game shutouts. In the three games, she allowed just three hits while striking out 14 batters. She leads Oneonta with 11 wins and has a 1.92 ERA.
Andrew Grann – SUNY New Paltz
Senior, Oceanside, NYÂ
 Senior pitcher Andrew Grann pitched a complete-game gem, to become the school's all-time leader in wins, shutting out SUNY Plattsburgh, 1-0, in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play on Friday afternoon. Grann was absolutely masterful, tossing a three-hitter to notch his 17th career victory for the Hawks. He struck out seven Plattsburgh batters, allowed just three hits and just one walk.
Glen Forsythe – SUNY Cortland
Junior, Uniondale, NY
Forsythe won both the long jump and triple jump with ECAC-qualifying efforts at the Cortland Classic. His distance of 7.23 meters (23 feet, 8.75 inches) in the long jump currently ranks fourth nationally in Division III and his triple jump of 14.70 meters (48 feet, 2.75 inches) is fifth on the national charts.

Taylor Hudson – SUNY Cortland
Junior, Victor, NY
 Hudson easily won the heptathlon in a field of 13 at the Cortland Classic with a score of 4,571 points, which currently ranks fifth nationally in Division III. Of the seven events, she won six, including ECAC-qualifying performances in the high jump (1.70 meters; 5 feet, 7 inches), long jump (5.36 meters; 17 feet, 7 inches), 200 meters (25.77) and 100-meter hurdles (14.86). Hudson presently ranks fourth nationally in the high jump.
