Four from Oneonta Honored in Division III Outdoor T&F Regional Award Winners
The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honored four athletes from Oneonta as the top Division III outdoor track and field athletes and coaches in the Atlantic Region.
Oneonta sophomore Joe Carr was named the USTFCCAA Men's Track Athlete of the Year, while teammate junior Patrick Weinert took home the Men's Field Athlete of the Year honor. At the completion of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships, Carr and Weinert were honored as the 2014 SUNYAC Most Outstanding Track and Field Athletes.
Oneonta's first year Head Coach, Angelo Posillico, who led the men's program to its first-ever SUNYAC Outdoor Championship, was honored as the Men's Coach of the Year. Posillico was honred as the SUNYAC Men's Track and Field Coach of the Year at the end of the season. His assistant, Joe Reed, took Assistant Coach of the Year Award for the second time in three years (2012).
Men's Track Athlete of the Year
ATLANTIC REGION- Joe Carr, Oneonta
 Carr earned first team SUNYAC All-Conference honors. At the SUNYAC Championships, Carr won the 200m dash and finished runner-up in the 100m dash. He also participated on Oneonta's 4x400m relay that finished second and the 4x100m relay that was third. At the ECAC Division III championships, Carr took home the 200m dash and helped Oneonta win its first team championship in the 4x400m relay.
Men's Field Athlete of the Year
ATLANTIC REGION- Patrick Weinert, Oneonta
 Weinert tallied 20 combined points in route to helping Oneonta win its first ever SUNYAC Men's championship. He won the hammer throw with a SUNY Geneseo facility record and finished second at the ECAC Championships, where he broke his own school record with a distance of 61.12m.
Men's Head Coach of the Year
ATLANTIC REGION- Angelo Posillico, Oneonta
The first year Oneonta Head Coach led the men's program to its first SUNYAC team title in school history. Posillico, also named the SUNYAC Coach of the Year, will led six entries for Oneonta into the NCAA Championships. Posillico piloted Oneonta to finish the season as the #1 team in the region.
Men's Assistant Coach of the Year
ATLANTIC REGION- Joe Reed, Oneonta
This is Reed's second award in the past three years. Reed coached the Oneonta sprints and hurdles competitors to 61 points of the 173 total points that helped Oneonta capture its first SUNYAC Men's championship.
