Cortland Women's Indoor Track and Field Takes SUNYAC Title for Third Straight Year
Results
The SUNY Cortland Red Dragons won the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Indoor Track and Field team title for the third consectutive year and18th time overall.
Cortland accumulated 130 points while second place Buffalo State finished with 114 points and Geneseo was third with 105 points.
Cortland broke two conference meet records while Buffalo State broke one. The Red Dragons team of Kerri Culhane, Kelly Paris, Kailyn Balzano and Kayla Blomback ran the medley relay in a time of 12:33 to break the record set in 2012. Cortland's Valerie Vancol broke a 10 year-old conference meet record in the shot put after a 13.06 meter throw.
Buffalo States' foursome of Sasa Vann, Nia Holmes, Niasha Houpe and Jazlyn Porter combined to break the 1600 meter relay meet record set in 2008 by the Bengals. They ran the 4 x 400 in a time of 3:58.35.
