Buffalo State and Brockport Sweep Track and Field Weekly Honors
MEN’S TRACK ATHLETE – Buffalo State
Chris Rones (Bronx, NY/New Rochelle), sophomore
Sophomore Chris Rones won the 60-meter hurdles at the RIT Invitational and set a new school record with a time of 8.38 seconds. His time was the 17th fastest in DIII this season.

WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE – Buffalo State
Mariah Brown (Waverly, NY/Waverly), freshman
Freshman Mariah Brown was a triple winner at the RIT Invitational. She captured the 200 and 400-meter dashes in 26.32 and 59.04 seconds respectively. Brown beat out 52 other sprinters in the 200 and 28 runners in the 400 meter. She also ran a leg of the winning 4x200-meter relay that clocked 1:43.70.

Dustin Colgan (Rome, NY/Rome Free), senior
Senior Dustin Colgan finished first out of 39 competitors in the men's weight throw at the RIT Invitational with a distance of 16.69m, an ECAC qualifying mark. He also finished third out of 35 in the men's shot put with a distance of 14.29m.
WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE- Brockport
Becky Fabbiano (Lockport, NY/Lockport), senior
Competing at the Kent State Invitational, Becky Fabbiano broke the Brockport school record in the pole vault event with a height of 11 ft. 7 1/4 inches (3.54m). Fabbiano finished fifth at the meet but was the top Division III participant. She currently ranks 17th in all of Division III pole-vaulting with her current height. The senior’s previous personal-best score was 11 ft. 3 ¾ inches, set at the Robert Kane Invitational at earlier this year.
