SUNYAC Records Fall at Penn Relays
Geneseo seniors Eddie Novara and Lee Berube each set a new SUNYAC record at the prestigious Penn Relays on Thursday April 26, competing against some of the top Division I and Division II programs in the NCAA.
Novara posted the top finish for the Blue Knights as he ran a spectacular second place time of 29:32.75 in the 10,000 meters to shatter teammate Berube's SUNYAC record of 29:48.95 set two weeks ago at the Bucknell Bison Open. The time is the second fastest of the 2012 NCAA Division III season as Division II UNC-Pembroke's Pardon Ndhlovu won the race.
Berubefinished 16th of 28 runners in the 5,000 meters, posting the fourth fastest time in Division III in the event and claiming a SUNYAC record of his own with a 14:21.53.
