Dalton and Berube Earn Second SUNYAC Honor: ECAC also recognizes Berube
Seniors Alyson Dalton (Sherrill, NY/V-V-S) and Lee Berube (Putnam Station, NY/Ticonderoga) and have been named the SUNYAC Runners of the Week for the second time this season.
Berube has also been recognized as the ECAC Upstate/Metro Runner of the week for the second time. (Full ECAC Release).
Berube joined Geneseo's Matt Annabel '98 as the only three-time individual winners of the Geneseo Invitational by covering the eight kilometers at the 31st Annual version in a time of 25:59, pacing the Blue Knights to the team title. His previous SUNYAC weekly honor came two weeks ago on Sept. 21.
Dalton earns her second straight SUNYAC honor after she finished in fifth place out of 386 runners in the Brown Division of the Lehigh University Paul Short Run. She covered the 6,000-meter course in 21:57 and helped nationally 28th-ranked Cortland finish sixth out of 44 teams, including 17 Div. I schools. Dalton has finished fifth in the race each of the past two years.
