Plattsburgh Sweeps Runner of the Week Accolades
Plattsburgh's Stefanie Braun and Ryan Millar paced the Cardinals to top finishes over the weekend.
Stefanie Braun (Dix Hills) earns her second SUNYAC weekly honor as she was the top individual female runner at the Connecticut College Cross Country Invitational over the weekend. Braun crossed the finish line in 21:45 to lead Plattsburgh to a second-place team finish with 56 points. Rutgers took the team title with 48. Braun has led the Cardinals in all five races this season, posting two individual wins. Her time over the weekend improved her season best by 30 seconds. Braun was previously recognized by the conference on the Sept. 5.
Junior Ryan Millar (New Hartford) was the top runner from the conference at the Connecticut College Cross Country Invitational. Millar finished tenth out of a field of 211 runners in 26:14 over the 8k course. Plattsburgh claimed fourth place as a team with 109 points. Southern Connecticut State was the top male team with 52 points, followed by Connecticut College (75) and TCNJ (99). This was Millar’s third race this season in which he led Plattsburgh and his time was a season best by 14 seconds.
