SUNYAC Indoor Track and Field Championships; Feb. 26-27
The College at Brockport will be hosting the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships at its Special Events Recreation Center (SERC). The championships will be held on Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27. The events on Friday will start off at 3 p.m. and the start time is 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Tickets for the weekend will be available at the door. The ticket office will be open one hour before the meet each day. Adult tickets each day are $6, and children (ages 6-12) $3. All children under five years old and SUNYAC students with proper school ID are admitted free of charge. A two-day pass will also be available at $10 for adults and $5 for children (ages 6-12). Tickets are also available prior to the championships here.
The Oneonta men took the 2015 SUNYAC championship with 152 points, while the women's championship went to Buffalo State last year, with 115.50 points.Â
On the men's side the 2015 Track Athlete of the Year award went to Brockport's Dorian Hayden, the Field Athlete of the Year award went to Oneonta's J.D. Roth and the Coach of the Year award honors went to Oneonta's head coach, Angelo Posillico.
For the women the Track Athlete of the Year award went to Plattsburgh's Jess Huber while the Field Athlete of the Year award went to Cortland's Taylor Hudson and the Coach of the Year award honors went to Buffalo State's head coach, Eugene Lewis.
