Oneonta captures SUNYAC women's indoor track and field title
RESULTS
BROCKPORT, N.Y. - Oneonta won its first-ever State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's indoor track and field title Saturday with 142.5 team points.Â
Record Breakers
Oneonta's Rachael Shine set a new record in the mile run with a 4:58.52 finish. That broke a 2006 record of 5:00.42 made by Marta Scott. Shine also bettered the 800 meter run meet record set in 2012 by Amy McCasland (2:14.79) as she crossed the line in 2:13.50.
Kayla Koebel of Cortland beat her previous pentathlon championship record of 3,115 points with a score of 3,334.
Fredonia's distance medley team of Stephanie Wojnowski, Samantha Ruszczyk, Laura Morrison and Hannah Kurbs won the SUNYAC title in 12:26.71 setting a new meet record. (Brockport, 2015, 12:30.96)
Oneonta's Kayla Clohessy jumped 5.77m to tie the SUNYAC meet record.
