SUNYAC winter teams ranked going into final stretch of regular season
CORTLAND, N.Y. -Â As the 2015-16 winter season winds down, 12 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) teams are ranked regionally and nationally in Division III.

Four out of the six men's basketball East Regional ranked teams represent the SUNYAC conference. Plattsburgh sits atop the NCAA Divison III East Region rankings followed by Geneseo (3), Oswego (4) and Oneonta (5). According to the d3hoops.com top 25 rankings Plattsburgh is the lone SUNYAC school ranked at #22.

Two SUNYAC women's basketball teams are ranked in the East Regional rankings with Geneseo third and New Paltz sixth.Â

Indoor track and field has also made their mark in the national ranks. On the men's side according to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) top 25 rankings, Cortland is #19. On the women's side of the USTFCCCA rankings, Oneonta is #10 while Buffalo State (21) and Plattsburgh (25) also made the top 25.

The men's swimming and diving rankings, determined by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), has the Geneseo men at #21 while the Geneseo women are at #22.
The NCAA Division III Regional Rankings for men's ice hockey will be released next week.
