Brockport's Ed Jaskulski Named Assistant Coach of the Year
Brockport Assistant Track & Field coach Ed Jaskulski has been selected as the 2010 NCAA Division III Atlantic Region Assistant Coach of the Year for Mens Track & Field as announced by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Jaskulski works primarily with the throwers for the Golden Eagles but has taken on additional responsibilities over the past three seasons and has continued to develop the throwers into a group that repeatedly contends for NCAA Championship competition.
In 2010, freshman John Osucha won the SUNYAC discus throw and senior Stephanie Powell won the hammer throw. In all, three throwers earned NCAA Championship provisional marks with Oschua, Powell and Ray Lund all hitting the national standards. Powell will be representing the Golden Eagles at the NCAA Championships.
In 2009, Jaskulski was the interim head coach for the Golden Eagles and was voted the SUNYAC Coach of the Year for womens Track & Field.
The former Golden Eagle athlete was a starter for the Brockport football team and also competed for the Track & Field squads.
